The 2in x 2in is essentially 50mm...and since it is Amazon Prime eligible it might be a lot better than ordering from overseas: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H8VV0XK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228372887329990411.post-26759001136272029202014-04-08T20:10:22.076-07:002014-04-08T20:10:22.076-07:00http://www.amazon.com/Brushless-Blower-50x50x15mm-...http://www.amazon.com/Brushless-Blower-50x50x15mm-Sleeve-bearing-Skywalking/dp/B00BKE27V0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hg_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1H2Y05MWW80DWTXY4BS3

What about using 12volt blower fan instead of 24volt?igranderojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956792326497771574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228372887329990411.post-5539643741829143482014-03-17T20:03:15.874-07:002014-03-17T20:03:15.874-07:00Awesome post! My first experience with 3D printing was with a Makerbot Replicator 2 at work and it still blows away my RepRapPro Mendel for printing small features and overhangs as you mentioned. I've tried a few quick fixes (higher CFM fans, fan ducts I found on Ihingiverse, etc.) with mixed results that never matched the Rep2: http://imgur.com/a/2SUMN

The biggest improvement always seemed to be putting a big desk fan and pointing it right at the printer, but that's obviously not optimal. I'm quite curious now to try this on my Mendel, although I'll need to redesign the holder to fit the different style of X-axis carriage.Pierrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00213731803301893318noreply@blogger.com
